Gaelcon

Jul 13, 2005 16:18

So my will power gave out and I'm heading over to Gaelcon after all. Only for the Friday night till Monday morning as I don't have that many holidays left, I'm on the red eye on the Monday, that will be a fun day at work.

Bwahaha!

I fly out at 16:40 on Friday and back at 20:55 on Monday. I'll get the box of wine...

Ryan Air I take it on the flight out as I'm on the same flight.

Ah that'll cover the best bits anyway. Probably best to not got to bed before the flight home at all :P

(See you in the pub, don't think I'll be going to the actual con unless I'm asked to work in the shop - unlikely after last year's performance)

Yeah, the way I looked at it I don't actually get any gaming done at the con anyway so I might as well be there for the drinking on the evenings.

The pub it is. I'm seriously considering not booking a hotel room for the Sunday night on the basis that I could end up in fibbers till 2 or 3 then have to be at the airport for 5:40 anyway and could wander the streets of Dublin kebab in hand...

At the last GenCon, a really nice Irish guy played the Epic game with us, and strongly recommended us to go. I'm ashamed to say I can't remember his name, but perhaps bibliogirl has it on file....?

I've played a couple of freeforms at Gaelcon, they tend to be less costuming and more political in style, or it could just be they are the ones I've played in.
