I do like the sound of the magic system, especially the price element. It fits very well with the norse 'feel'. Reminds me a bit of the passage in American gods where the Vikings find North America and stage a mock-sacrifice to Odin of their chief, only to find that Odin demands a true sacrifice and takes the chief's life.
really like the magic defining moments. Think the way it is set up sounds like really good fun, that everyone has a say in the initial setup. Very entertaining, and you can't blame the GM for being harsh or anything it will all be your own fault! what a new perspective!
The way this game handles things sounds hugely interesting. Would you mind if I posted a link to this description of it in action from the gaming board I spend large chunks of my life on?
Some of us there are just starting out in a game which also invites a good deal of player input(Dogs in the Vineyard by Lumpley Games).

I'm currently playing in an "LA Confidential" noir game of Mortal Coil,
which is a lot of fun.
