Author's Note: I've been forced to take an unwanted hiatus from writing, and this is my first attempt at getting back on the horse. I hope I managed to do this prompt justice: I wanted Caddie to have a really random first kiss -- something that they'd look back on later and be like, "that was our first kiss?" I hope you enjoy :)

The music thumped and pounded in a merciless rhythm, leaving the gyrating bodies to follow its lead like charmed snakes in a crowded basket. Addison closed her eyes as she swayed her hips in time with the beat of the song, feeling as though all of the tension and stress were evaporating from her body. She felt dizzy and drunk in the way she so freely gave herself up to letting loose.

It was a long time coming. She needed this. She deserved this. She took no notice of those around her.

That is, until she felt a tap on her shoulder.

She opened her eyes and slowed her body's movement, taking in the annoyed visage of her dance partner.

"Those guys are staring again," Callie said, pursing her lips as she shot a glare across the room.

Addison allowed her eyes to flick towards the bar, where two middle-aged men were indeed staring at them as they nursed their sweating beers. "Let 'em," she replied. The song morphed to something with a slower tempo and she changed her body's movement to match.

"I think they're going to come over again," Callie said, stepping a little closer. She leaned into Addison's ear. "What if they ask us to dance again?"

"Then we say 'no' again," Addison offered. She turned and began to sway her body against Callie's, feeling the heat of her friend's torso against her back. "Don't let them get to you. Just have fun."

"Fine," Callie answered with an irritated hiss. She recommitted to dancing.

Addison smiled to herself. They didn't go out dancing to be harassed by men. They didn't go out for the purpose of worrying what other people were going to think. They needed a night of dancing where they didn't need to think at all.

She closed her eyes again and lost herself once more in the pulsating throb of the DJ's track.

Her respite lasted for only half of a song before she felt Callie's hands on her hips, guiding their bodies to match a singular rhythm. Addison found it odd, to say the least, but applauded her friend for making another attempt to enjoy herself. That was, after all, the point of the evening in the unfamiliar club.

The hands roved over her hips and waist, grabbing a little more intensely than perhaps was seemly between friends. Addison opened her eyes. She could see the two men leaving their presumably empty bottles on the bar and head in their direction.

Before Addison could comment on their approach, Callie was in front of her. Addison opened her mouth to speak.

Callie kissed her.

There was no time to think, to react. Callie's tongue was in her mouth, stroking against her own, and Addison was too surprised to protest.

Besides, Callie wasn't a terrible kisser.

She shot a glance towards the men, who had stopped in their tracks. Their combined looks of disappointment, rejection, and excitement made Addison want to laugh.

Callie's hands were in her hair, stroking the nape of her neck before she pulled back. "Are they gone now?"

Addison blinked several times before she registered the comment. "Uh." She looked over to where she had last spotted the pair. They had disappeared. "Yea. Gone."

Callie feigned wiping her brow. "Phew. Good. They were starting to piss me off."

"Right."

"I don't think they'll bother us now."

Addison blinked again. She could taste a hint of vanilla on her lips. "Yea. Or they may like the idea of lesbian couples and redouble their efforts to get in on the fun."

"Oh." Callie frowned. "I hadn't thought of that."

Addison shrugged. "Oh well. If they bug us again, we'll deal with it."

"Good thinking." Callie began to dance again.

Addison nodded and closed her eyes as she half-heartedly began to sway to the music. She had absolutely no idea what had just happened. Well, she knew why Callie had kissed her.

What she didn't know, however, was why she liked it so much.
