I'll admit it. Its official.

I'm obsesed with Adam Lambert.

It was really only a matter of time, quite frankly.

Due to my unpleasant American Idol audition experience, I didn't watch any of this season, mainly out of spite. But I kept reading about this guy on blogs I follow, about how he was the saving grace of a show thats losing viewers each year ( Read more... )

I was watching his old performances and I loved when Randy criticized his "Feeling Good" because it was too "theatrical." Simon responded with "That's like complaining that a cow moo's! That's who he is!!"

It took me a bit too.. cuz at first I'm like, stop screaming! But he reels it in on recordings and more intimate performances, and he's incredibly well trained... he's not blowing out his voice like some performers.

i like that you made it more subtle. ive got issues with subtlety (as in, i dont do it)... i feel like if its too subtle im not wearing enough? but your take is the perfect "i could wear it in the daytime and not look like a drag queen".

HA! well like I said, i need to reel it in because my eyes are small. You've got big eyes plus a more rockstar sense of personal style, so you can get away with drag queen makeup. :-)

You know, I periodically download the UK and US Top 40 to make sure I'm up to date with my music, since I rarely listen to the radio (and when I do it's either NPR or a classic rock/variety station). When I saw that Adam Lambert had covered "Mad World," I was like, "ugh, really?"

But he kind of won me over. Kudos to him.
