Having Gunn and Cordelia around makes both finding demons and killing them alot easier on me. Cordy with the visions (I'm sure she wishes she never got them from Doyle. But somewhere deep down in that cold, cheerleader heart she has to know that he cared about her enough to pass them on.) and Gunn with the rogue vampire slayer syle. He'e been a ( Read more... )

Ugh, you'd think he'd just about had enough of my screaming in pain lately but no... Brood Boy thinks that the night's a-wastin' unless Cordelia's in pain. Pffft!

"You're doing it again," I tell him, frowning. All afternoon, all he's done is pace. Back and forward across the office. If he's not careful? He's gonna wear a hole in the floor. "God, what is your deal today? You're, like, Mr. Antsy or something. Can't you sit still for five minutes?"

"Hey guys?" I stopped by the hotel to see what was up. Maybe Cordelia had a vision? I had this great cross-bow hybrid I wanted to try out.

Cordelia and Angel were in. "So, what's up. Anything exciting?"

"Any visions Cordy? Cause business has been slow lately."

I continued pacing and started towards Gunn.

"Nothing exciting yet, Gunn."

I knew they were painful, but I needed to get out some violence.

"Can you try, Cordy?"

I had a feeling I would get slapped for that one.

I raised an eyebrow. Even I didn't have that much gall.

"Ya know, we can always find something' to fight down centeral. She don't need a vision for that." No reason to wish mind-splitting pain on her, unless necessary. Though I had to admit, my old neighborhood, not big on my new friends.

"Oh, sure... Hang on." I said, pressing a hand to my head. "It's... It's you..." I murmured, theatrically, and closing my eyes as if I was in major pain. Funny thing about the visions? I could quite clearly remember the pain of the last one, so it wasn't like I had to try hard.

"You're on the floor... And oh look, you're in pain, imagine that." Taking my hand down, I opened my eyes and pinned Angel with a gaze that just dared him to argue back, "You ever wish a vision on me again and you'll find out why you're in pain. There's ways I can use a stake without killing you, Buster." I growled, going to sit behind my desk.

Geez! I wasn't just some vision-o-meter that was there to save him from boredom!
