"He's dating Erik now?" Moira pouts. "I should've seen tha' comin'."
"I'm surprised you've never noticed the looks those two have always shared," Gabrielle remarks. "They were bloody impossible for me to miss when I was with him."
"Which one?" Moira questions.
"Either." Gabrielle snorts and takes a puff of her cigar. "Both."
A third woman, this one blue, breaks into the conversation. "They are rather charismatic."
"Mothah!" Rogue exclaims, clearly shocked.
Mystique's ruby red lips smirk. "Don't worry, Rogue," she tells her daughter. "You already know I don't swing that way."
"You've done men -- "
"That's not what I meant. They're not dangerous enough for me. Besides, you're one to talk. How many times have you and Erik gone to the Savage Land?"
"That's different."
"How?"
Jean scrunches her nose as Rogue and Raven begin debating Erik's attributes and looks to Ororo and Kitty. "Is it just me, or is this conversation disturbing?"
"It is not only you in the least, my dear friend." Thunder rumbles in the distance. "I believe I shall go find Logan."
"Count me in on that."
"You have Scott -- " Ororo starts to remind her.
"I'm married, not dead, and any girl who has Scott in the bedroom deserves some eye candy."
"He's been . . . falling short again on his martial duties?"
"Oh, eugh!" Kitty exclaims, having had more than enough. Her hands are already covering her ears, but it's not enough to block out all the conversations around her. "I am so out of here!"
She phases out of the room and practically runs until she reaches the bedroom she shares with Rachel. She doesn't announce herself. She just goes right in to where the redhead's already standing and waiting for her, wraps her arms tightly around her, and drowns herself in her kiss.
"Better?" Ray asks afterward, grinning.
"Much." Still, Kitty kisses her again.
