First Hospital Visit

We kicked off the week last Monday with a visit to the First Hospital of Peking University to have our first experience to see TCM being practiced. We were able to watch Dr. Xu, who taught us during our first portion of the TCM course, practice TCM on his patients. Did they demonstrate on any of you? When we went to the hospital, our professor put those little balls in most of our ears after inspecting them to determine what our health problem might be. He was pretty accurate for most of us. He also demonstrated acupuncture in a few students but I chickened out. I hope you're having a great time!

Yea, Dr. Burgess was telling me how they demonstrated TCM on some of the students last year. She was also telling me how incredibly accurate it was. Unfortunately, we did not get to experience any of the TCM being practiced on us because our visit to the First Hospital with Dr. Xu was more of a shadowing experience, but it was still cool to watch. We are still going to the Third Hospital sometime next week, so maybe we'll have a different experience there. I think if I was given the option to receive acupuncture I would back out as well, since I have a needle phobia. haha.
