Insanity, Day 36

Feb 20, 2011 12:56

Today was the beginning of the last month of my Insanity adventure, and what a way to begin this last month. Today's workouts were The Fit Test and Max Interval Circuit. First let me go through my Fit Test results.

My previous results can be found here.

My results this time around:

Switch Kicks: 70
Power Jacks: 49
Power Knees: 90
Power Jumps: 32
Globe Jumps: 10
Suicide Jumps: 14
Push-Up Jacks: 30
Low Plank Oblique: 66

There was improvement all across the board. I'm very happy with these results. I also pushed myself harder on the Fit Test today. It helped that I actually had an audience. Nicole wanted to see first hand the Insanity workouts, and she helped push me to get better results, especially towards the end when I was super tired.

Nicole thought that Insanity looked pretty hard. In fact, midway through the Fit Test, she thought I was going to die. The feeling only got worse during the Max Interval Circuit. Oh My GAWD, I hate Max Interval Circuit. That was the worst thing ever. That was even worse than Pure Cardio. I didn't think it was fair to do an hour of Max Interval Circuit after the Fit Test, but that was the schedule, and I gotta go with the schedule.

After the workout, Nicole asked if all the workouts were that hard. The answer is no. Max Interval Circuit was nothing like the previous month. Remember when I said that Recovery Week was the lull before the storm? Well, truer words have never been spoken. I think that Max Interval Circuit is the sign of things to come for the rest of the month. I felt as tired and beat up as any moment during my first week of Insanity.

All in all, though, despite me cursing Shaun T's name throughout Max Interval Circuit, it was a lot of fun. It was good to be taken out of my comfort zone. I am both excited and scared of what is to come this next week.

36 days down.
