So far this first week of the second month of
Insanity is feeling like the first week of the program: body aching, moving around like an old man, dreading the next workout as form of cruel and unusual punishment. It is a week like this that makes me wonder whether I really do enjoy being sore all over all day long.
Today's workout was Max Cardio Conditioning. This workout was basically Pure Cardio on steroids. There were more workouts with Max Cardio with a greater variety and higher intensity. As much as I hated Pure Cardio, I think I hate Max Cardio even more, especially this week with my body feeling all beat up and broken down.
After the last couple of days, I had to slow things down. Part of me wonders if I slowed things down a little too much, but then whenever I try to get off the couch, the dull ache in my lower back and legs tell me that I worked out plenty hard. Plus, I have a few more weeks of these workouts, so that should be plenty of time to ramp up the intensity. Besides, the program always says to go at your own pace, to take breaks when necessary, and to never sacrifice form for speed.
Tomorrow is Max Recovery. That sounds promising after the last few days. After that, I'm back on the Max Interval stages. That's a lot of fun ahead of me. lol.
38 days down.
