The good thing about getting sick and missing two workout days is that I quickly lost all of that bad weekend weight last weekend. The bad thing is that I felt weak and my cardio was severely lacking, which is bad considering this whole program is a souped up interval cardio body weight program.
Today was a return to Max Interval Circuit. The good thing about today is that I didn't have to do the Fit Test before hand. I also was a little more familiar with some of the routines so I could focus more on what I was doing rather than how to do them.
However, after taking two days off because I was sick, my lungs were absolutely burning. I think for the next couple of days, I'm going to take these workouts a little easy, at least until I feel a bit stronger. I'm definitely going to have to pace myself with this crazy idea I have of not taking another day off until next week. 8 straight days of Insanity is pretty crazy, but I don't want to fall too far behind.
Despite all of the lung burning and weak muscles, it feels good to get back in the program. Being sick is never fun. I had to drag myself out of bed to get food. Being sick ruined my plans of getting a haircut, getting food at
The Manila Machine food truck while they were at UCLA, and getting some asian groceries at
99 Ranch. But like I said, I did lose some of my bad weight, so yay? Now I just have to get my cardio back, and all will be good.
