I really don't like working out in the morning after an evening workout, but if I'm going to do it, the day after Max Recovery is the way to go. Since Max Recovery is a lot less intense, my body was able to sufficiently recover enough for today's workout.
Today's workout was Max Cardio Conditioning and Cardio Abs. This is my first time doing Cardio Abs in three weeks, and let me tell you, I did not miss that workout. Although, I will say that 15 minutes of Cardio Abs is a breeze when compared to the 45 minutes of Max Cardio Conditioning right before it.
I think I did okay with Max Cardio Conditioning today. There were still some times when I couldn't finish through the workouts, but overall I felt stronger today doing the Max Cardio. I still hate the workout, but it is a nice change from all the interval type workouts Insanity has me doing every other day.
Cardio Abs is the same 15 minutes of torture it has always been. Piggybacking Cardio Abs on Max Cardio Conditioning makes this my least favorite day. Like honestly, who thought this was a good idea. Let's make these guys do 45 minutes straight of cardio, and then afterwards, let's make them do an additional 15 minutes of ab work using the C-sit position and varying plank formations.
Tomorrow is Core Cardio and Balance, and I'm really looking forward to that workout. After a week of Core Cardio a couple of weeks ago, I really grew to like that workout day. Of course, after my day off in a couple of days, I have the big doozy of the Fit Test followed by Max Interval Circuit. So, this is definitely a mini calm before a return to the storm.
48 days down.
