Ooh, I like. Never watched Firefly, but it was a great story. I don't think you need to do penance for it, even if it isn't quite a pairing fic. It's well written, everyone's in-character (at least, I assume Mal is because Rose and the Doctor are so well-written) and there's humor to it. And doing humor while keeping everyone in character is very difficult, so you are to be commended.

Thank you. I'm not sure Mal is quite in-character, as he's not normally a drunken wacko. But, er...

The humor comes a little more easily with Rose and Ten. I could have tried Jo and Three, but there would have been a different angle on things.
