Why do professors have to be so intimidating and mean?  I shouldn't be scared to go talk to Dr. Barnes, I should feel like she is going to be open minded and be willing to hear what I have to say.  Instead, I feel like she already has her mind made up and she's just letting me go in to talk to her about my grade so that she can further point out

Eep, I definitely know what you mean! It took me a week to go talk to one of my profs about an assignment, lol.

It actually didn't end up as bad as I thought it would. I got my grade raised (although I don't know how high) and got to talk to her about why the class I was taking (Professional Business Writing) ended up being not as enjoyable as I thought. Some profs are definitely so mean though, ugh! I found they are usually not the ones that are tenured... haha.
