Uhm... hey?

A-ah!!

Does anybody... have any books they'd be willing to lend me? All the books at the library are kind of... w-well I guess, weird. Just about gardening and these kinda creepy romance novels. [Books....you have his attention. Lemony picks up the phone quickly]

From what I can tell the library seems to only lend books of certain types to certain people. It is unfortunate but seems to be merely another of this towns quirks.

Most libraries in America tend to offer more veriety in their selections.

No. I am unable to find any books there about those subjects. Just as you would be unable to find books about matinence and cars.

It seems that the library will only allow people to take out the books it feels apropriate.

However we have found a slight way around it. Someone is able to take out a book they can see and lend it to someone who would not be able to locate that book normally.

Ah! I haven't found any either. All I see when I go there is Hardy Boys and comic books...

But um, let me know if you find any Sherlock Holmes books! Those are my favorite. I've been looking for them too.

Oh uh, they're these adventure books for boys. I guess Mayfield still counts me as a kid since I'm under 18...

But if you do find them, let me know! I'll do the same. I'd be really grateful! What's your name? I'm Crowe.

No. I need insurance that my books will be unharmed and treated properly, as well as returned in a timely manner.

Oh right! Uhm

[thinking] Well... depending on the book size... I can read most in a single sitting... so... I-I don't really have anything important here....

M-maybe I could do... service in exchange? I-I wouldn't mind... helping you if you want! Oh! How about a book exchange! I'll lend you one of my books from Amestris!

Oh my. You enjoy mystery novels, do you? I just so happen to have a couple, should you want to read them. I suppose I would not mind lending them out.
