God's Sovereignty

Lately I've been reading in Romans 9 about the sovereignty of God. That chapter also goes into detail about predestination and man's part in salvation. To be honest with you, this subject is very difficult to comprehend. I am intrigued by the fact that God is in control over all things and that He predestines us to come to Him in His timing. whats funny about that God thing being omnipresent, omnicient, and omnipitant is that in my ap lang. class this year, we read so much religious stuff about this "omni God" we just say God is omni-cubed. i dunno why i worte that but when you said it, it just made me think about it. awesome entry for today. i love to know that God thinks completely different than we do and his ways are so different also. i absolutely love to hold onto that idea. bc we are messed up humans sometimes...

matt mcF. you are awesome. it is really cool to get to see someone loving the lord like you do. i also have been reading romans 9, too. more towards the end of the chapter, it has been awesome, but i have read over what you speak of. the truth is exactly as you put it, that some things are just beyond our grasp, his ways our higher than our ways. i think that is actually one of the cooler parts of God, that we cant fully grasp him. what i take comfort in, although i dont understand it all, is that God cannot contradict himself and one thing that he most definatly is, is love. God is the utmost example of love, pouring out on all creations, so though i cannot grasp the mysteries of predestination or the principles of it, i am able to rest in the truth that God is just and loving. keep it up. keep it real.

Hey man, it's encouraging to know that there are people in this world as we know it today who are not too proud to admit that they don't understand everything. Not only that, but to find who can say that and be content with it is another issue. Thanks for being humble and submissive to the greatness of God. Continue to seek Him always. Keep exercising your gifts; your encouragement and prophecy are strengthening to more than just myself. God is using you bro!
