Some of the most interesting discussions in science concern the limits of scientific knowledge. There is the issue of whether or not science can answer questions about God, or definitively rule out supernatural causes. According to the National Labor Relations Board, complaining about your boss on Facebook is legally protected. Fear of the unknown
I just read this article describing a new study which suggests fear of uncertainty is one major reason why so many Americans doubt the theory of evolution. The traditional view is that religious beliefs explain the disconnect between research scientists, who overwhelmingly accept (secular) evolutionary theory, and the general public. Popcorn lawsuit
A local Spokane Valley man is suing Conagra Foods, alleging that the butter flavoring added to his microwave popcorn gave him so-called popcorn workers lung. According to his lawyer, quoted in the video, the man ate "five to seven bags of microwave popcorn a day, not knowing that there was something harmful in it."
