I seem to be learning or re-learning hard lessons this year. Yesterday, was one of the hardest. My cat Hermes had lost the self preservation button, and behaving in very uncatlike behavior. As a responsible and loving caregiver for this 8 year member of my family, I had no choice but to let him go on to his next life. It hurts. I hate it. But in

wish that there was something I could do for you and Mike Trudy, I know how much Hermes meant to both of you. It brings happiness that he passed gently, but sorrow that he had grief.

I am quite certain now that he has moved on, he will know the why and understand, and forgive the who.
