I found this on Carrie's LJ, and it couldn't better describe this state.
Unless, of course, your name is Beth. I that case, Ohio is wonderful! You should stay here...
Yeah.
So... I just got home from work. Tiring. Very tiring. But it wasn't all that bad, because Steph stayed there and kept me company until about 11:30 when I had to kick her out.
After work, Heather took me home, and she and I talk a lot, which we always enjoy doing. She acts so tough at work, but when we're in that car together, we just laugh and have a good time. Towards the end of our time together, she brought up the subject of the open shift manager position, which I'm really considering and am being considered for. She wasn't aware of the fact that I was even interested, but she told me to go for it. She said how she felt that I was more mature than Tim or Bethany (the two others being considered) and how I wasn't nearly as lazy, and that I do all of the positions better. The ironic thing is that I had talked to Dave (our owner) just earlier that evening about my interest in it. She told me that she'd definitely put in a good word for me, and she's sure the other managers would. I'm so glad that I might get the job.
Well, my medicine is taking effect, so good night, everyone.
