being at the rnc
and seeing all those people banding together
from all different walks of life
for one cause. is something that truly amazed me
i can only hope that i will see a lot more of that in the next four years.

I was just random LJ surfing, and came across this, and I have to say that I agree with everything you've said, it was very well put. I proudly voted for Kerry, and I can tell you that there was a really depressing mood around the dorms when it was all drawing to a close. Maybe it'll make you feel better to know that Bush has recently been prediagnosed with Senile Dementia (big surprise there, eh?), and is rumored to be thinking of stepping down before his term is over because of it. I know the remainder of the term under Cheney wouldn't be any better, but with any luck he'll have a heart attack or two in the meantime. Also, just remember this. Richard Nixon won his presidency with a larger margin than Bush did, and was impeached within a year. So there is hope!
