First of all, the movie quoted was Goonies...best movie ever.

I'm sure you thought long and hard about what you wrote, but it still sounds like a theoretical truth that no one, not even you, would actually want to impliment. Even if it IS true that people are more unified when they're oppressed, they're unified because they want to become UN-oppressed. Everyone wants freedom, it's natrual. Even Rousseau believed that. Democracy will not become mob rule because there will always be educated people (moreso now than ever) to counter that mob. And don't forget, sometimes the mob is right.

Yes, people make bad decisions. But are you telling me that because I failed to match my shirt with my pants properly yesterday that I should never be allowed to choose my own clothes again? Are you telling me that because I've put my faith in people who turned out to be less than trustworthy in the past that I should not be able to choose my future friends or partners?

I simply don't understand you Nicholas.

Love,
Your Marto

It's just a concept in thought right now really. To be honest, I think at points I WOULD prefer to have no choice. It would be an easier life.

Yes it would be better. I've decided. You don't know any better, screw romanticism and the whole enlightenment thing, ignorance is better.
