How to explain TOP? TOP is badass, or at least he seems so on the surface. In reality he is a huge kid. He loves toys, joking around, and messing with the other members. His voice is so unique, and as one of the rappers in Big Bang, he brings a strong hip hop edge to the songs. He's grown up a lot since his debut, and only recently started coming into his own as an actor. Overall he's hugely talented, and amazing.

Random Facts!
- Prior to signing with YG, TOP was an underground rapper who went by the name of "Tempo".
- Like GD, TOP was similarly inspired to get into music by American hip hop (in TOP's case, he liked Notorious B.I.G).
- TOP used to be a lot heavier than he is now. Because of this he is still self conscious about his body, and very rarely allows even his arms to be seen (you can bet that even if it's hot as hell, TOP's going to be in long sleeves or a jacket).
- According to GD, he and TOP were friends in middle school before losing touch after GD moved away.
- GD brought TOP to YG's attention when they were looking to create a boyband. Because TOP was overweight and not considered "idol material", he was sent away. Over the next month or so, TOP managed to lose a lot of weight, came back to YGE, and was accepted as as a trainee.
- Despite being the oldest in the group, TOP often acts like a little kid.
- TOP has a big toy collection. He really love his toys. Really. He especially collects Be@rBricks, and has stated he has a about a thousand of them.
- TOP collapsed, and was sent to the hospital (this happened November 5th, 2008). There were a lot of rumors of it being a suicide attempt, but YG stated that his collapse was due to a combination of drinking, medicine (for feeling sick), and exhaustion.
- Was the first member of Big Bang to act in a drama, appearing in I'm Sam, and school drama filmed in 2007.
- Is ridiculously adorable when he has to speak Japanese, because he doesn't speak it very well yet.
- TOP's dancing can be interesting! He's not the best in the group, but he's the most entertaining!
- TOP is good friends with Jae Joong from DBSK and Hyun Joong from SS501 (amusingly, on KBS2 Sang Sang Plus Hyun Joong imitated both TOP and Jae Joong)!
- TOP's mentioned that he likes to drink (which is perfectly legal, since he's of age). Apparently he has a high tolerance, saying his limit is one bottle of whiskey, or 3-4 bottles of wine. He also stated he gets emotional when drunk.
- He released his first solo MV during the Big Show 2010, in anticipation of his solo album which should be released in the later half of 2010.
- TOP really likes food, but because of his diet, he restricts himself, and eats a lot of fruit. Several people have remarked on how much fruit he eats!

This isn't really a MV, but whatever. "Buckwild" is TOP's first underground single with NBK Gray. Back then, in 2005, he went by the name of "Tempo".
TOP was featured in Red Roc's single "Hello". He stars in the video, but does not actually sing in the song. Either way, the video is great, and shows off TOP's acting abilities (not to mention the song is awesome).
TOP also appeared in Gummy's single "미안해요" (Sorry). He provided vocals for the song as well as appearing in the video. Again, TOP shows off his acting skills, as well as provides a great rap accompaniment for Gummy's lovely vocals.
In Uhm Jung Hwa's "D.I.S.C.O", TOP provided a rap for the song. As Uhm Jung Hwa is one of Korea's most popular pop singers, being part of her comeback single was a huge deal. (Incidentally, Uhm Jung Hwa sang a version with GD featuring as well.
During the Big Show 2010 TOP showed the MV for his first single tentatively called "Turn it Up" off his upcoming solo album. Since this is a fancam, the picture and sound aren't great, but it's something! Believe me, I was at the Big Show 2010, the song is AMAZING.
Concert Videos
"Big Boy" was TOP's first single song from Big Bang's first full length album "Volume 1, Since 2007". This performance is from the "Global Warning" tour. He has also perfomed this song at The Real Concert (fun note: the girl performing with TOP in this version is Lee Eun Joo, YG's fiance).
"아무렇지 않은 척 (Act If Nothing's Wrong)" is TOP's second single, off of "Always". This version was performed at "The Great" concert, and is my favorite performance of this song. He also performed it at the Big Show 2009 and it was epic. He also performed a "remix" of it at the Big Show 2010, where he played harmonica.

This is my favorite TOP video! It shows that TOP really can sing, despite not doing it that often. (Also, "No Diggity" was so one of my jams back in '96). This video is from the early days of Big Bang. Notice Young Bae sitting at the table in the background there? TOP sang the full song during their Want You tour.
I always feel bad for TOP when I watch this video. He and GD are difficult to wake up in the morning, and the others tend to have fun with this (though I don't know where GD is during this...). By the way, I love that TOP is sleeping with a plush panda.
TOP gives us a glimpse at his workout routine, and possibly his abs.
TOP imitating Baby (and kinda making fun of him at the same time, which is hilarious), and doing a damn good job at it!
Random TOP beatboxing! He's really good, but I doubt I'll ever be able to hear anyone beatbox, and not be reminded of being 13, and kids in my school trying and failing to beatbox...
This is a song that hasn't be released yet, that TOP sang for "Telecinema - 19". I like the song a lot, and I hope it's on his upcoming solo album (or at least that it gets released soon)!
