but yeah it really is like LJ is losing popularity because Tumblr is just so uptodate compared to here because like everyone here isn't in the same time zone or whatever...idk
Tumblr is awesome, but sometimes I miss LJ. Like, custom friends lists, commenting, ease of viewing.
I get lost sometimes on tumblr because I follow SO MANY people. There's literally no way to see everything. Which is why I liked LJ - I saw almost everything, and could easily comment.
Oh well. In another few years there will probably be a new site. Such is the internet :)
Yeah it's weird how LJ just gradually went dead isn't it? Though I can't blame anyone since I did exactly that - I just dropped LJ mostly because of Tumblr, and I think nearly everyone did...lately I've been missing the smaller more personal circle that was LJ though :(
and I burnt out on dramas also. Iv'e tried a couple times to get back into it and it just bores me now. sigh.
It is! LJ was so popular for so long - I've had mine since 2003, I had friends using it since at least 2000. But now, suddenly it's pretty much done (except for the fic community, which is still going strong).
Tumblr is easy, but I find it lacking in a lot of areas. And yeah, it's definitely less personal, which I miss a ton.
I haven't watched any new dramas since 2009. I want to be able to, one day, but not now. I think that's the way it goes with most things - we love something so immensely for a few years, and then eventually you burn out. It's happened to me with literally every fandom I've been in.
Thanks! I'm sure it will, but it's irritating because now I'm all specialized, and possibly overqualified for a lot of stuff. Annoying :(
