but my brother is in Manchester Gorton who, according to the electoral bod I just phoned, still don't know if they're having an election on May 4th or not.
The "Andy Burnham for Mayor Mayoral Election" is going ahead as plannned, but the Gorton by-election was meant to be the same day. Only the poor new MP will be dissolved three days after the election, so probably not.
Since this mess involves George Galloway and (so far) David Davies adding his oar, I expect a load of argument about hotel bills and leaflet printing in the next few weeks.
