Phoenix goes to nursery term time and has done since he was 5 months old (18 months now). He still has days where he doesnt eat much and others that he does. If he hasn't eaten much for tea then I'lkl give him another tea when he comes home - but he always has a snack of some kind when he gets home regardless. He follows a similar pattern of going off food when he's recovering from an illness - of which he's had many since being at nursery ! Plus he always seems to take longer to get back into nursery eating than home eating. I persoanlly wouldnt worry too much so long as she is happy while she's at nursery and that she is being offered fluid regularly. I also wouldn't take on any guilt of her 'leading her two friends to follow suit'. Kids generally don't not take something they want. I think the adjusting time for nursery is sometimes longer than we think. Phoenix goes through adjusting period after every half term and to be honest so do the kids I teach in primary school - right up to year6. Sorry for rambling. :)
I haven't really been worrying about her as she is fine and happy in herself, I went in and spoke to them on Friday and said she's probably off things as she's just getting over a cold and when she's ill she tends to refuse most things.
I think I'm going to send her in with her beaker from home with juice in it and see if that helps with the drinking.
My partner was getting stressed about it as they always seemed to be collaring him and making him feel as if it was a huge problem!
maybe its the change in environment - she doesn't feel happy eating in front of other people she doesn't know very well. some kids are naturally fussy eaters - I am sure if you wait it out with her she'll eat at nursery soon.
