When did you start your maternity leave?

I'm due on the 13th November, and have planned to start my maternity leave on the 1st November. I do wish to hang on for as long as I can so I get more time with little one next year, but as time goes on I'm getting more and more tired and some days I feel I could start my maternity leave now! I was due to go on mat leave at 33 weeks - I worked in retail management and wasn't planning to return for various reasons.....

I went a week early as a refit got pushed back and would have meant me doing silly hours as they coincided it with the manager being off. I also had GD and was really feeling it by that point as I was on permanent lates to combat tiredness and this was at odds with eating properly!

they had pissed me about for six months at that point so said sayanara and buggered off....
