So December... was a month of eating. And we are back on track now.

I've been avoiding talking about losing weight too much because I am scared to death of failure. It's kind of like when I quit smoking in 2007. I didn't tell people for months that I had quit just in case I fell back into my old habit, simply because I KNOW that look you get from people. I began a weight loss journey and plan to complete it.

My weight has stayed the same since my last weight entry... as frustrating as that is, if it can stay even and not gain throughout the holidays, I'll take it and then get right back on track in January.

So we had a set back. On September 28 my job relocated to some place I did not want it to relocate to. In the few following weeks I gained four pounds... HOWEVER.... last of last weekend we got that under control, I got back to 260... and today I hit 259. So we're back on track again.

Just 59 pounds away from the goal now. I can do this.

Despite three weeks of eating bad (vacation and LOTS of work stress) ... I have finally made it to my first short term goal. Down 17 pounds since May 9. 60 pounds to go for the long term.

I remember what I was doing ten years ago this morning, but it doesn't really matter in the long haul of things. What matters most is I remember the bravery, the life lost and how proud I was of my country that day.
