In reply to a prior post, lady_savant asked why I would identify as agender. Well intended to reply directly in that thread, but my response got a tad too lengthy so I would make a new entry about it. :-)
See, I have always associated agender with not wanting to have sex. As in singular and not looking elsewhere. I could totally see you as gender-neutral.
I think one of the things that get me about gender identity is that most of it is based off societies view of what each gender is and should be/look like while in truth we are all a flux of being and can call upon either spectrum as needed or desired.
Ah... I see the misunderstanding. You possibly had asexual in mind. That matches the lack of desire to have sex. Cree/Vox on Facebook considers herself demisexual which is related to asexuality. Agender/asexual frequently get confused. No, asexual certainly does not match me. :-)
And you I think hit the nail on the head with your observation. One of the reasons so many people say to others asking what label fits them, "if you identify as such, then roll with it. Only you can decide what your gender is. You may change your mind later if you wish and realize you chose incorrectly before".
Your last comment reflects nicely the title of my post. I found it on a pic about gender while using Doctor Who as a reference: "People assume gender is a strict progression of male to female, but actually, from a non-binary, non-judgmental viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly gendery bendery... STUFF.

True. I was probably some kind of gender bender long before I had an idea what it meant.
