The problem with updating infrequently - at least for me - is the ferocious desire to fill my updates with mundane detail that would be acceptable in daily entries, but turns soporific in quantity. So, I will try to distill the last few weeks down to the LJ equivalent of grain neutral spirits, and for me the good stuff starts with food

* Savoy is a pretty good little Italian restaurant. Too bad about the wine, though. I have eaten very, very little pizza in L.A. Lots of great Italian, but very little pizza.

* Bell & Seba are playing at the Hollywood Bowl w/ the L.A. Phil and The Shins opening, I think. I'm tempted to go, plus Vanessa would enjoy it. We're going to the opera on the 18th, though, La Traviata.

* Although they can be fun, Japanese wedding parties tend to be so expensive!

* GA-5. You finally bought an amp????????????? Looks like a good one. There are quite a few similar boutique amps with comparable prices, but they probably aren't available in Japan.
