Kemaru: Leaving chapter 3
Kibum was sleeping relatively well, probably from being emotionally drained, until he woke up to the most blood churning scream he’s ever heard in his life. He shot up and looked around only to stare wide eyed as the scream came again, and it came from the beautiful angel next to him.
“Kevin!?” Kibum leaned over to get a better look at Kevin. The moon was shining directly on his face so Kibum could clearly see it contorted in fear. What the hell was happening? What could he possibly be dreaming about that was so horrible to do that to his face? Wait. Kibum remembered Kevin trying to tell him something before they slept. Was this it?
Kevin screamed again as his breathing started to come out in short harsh gasps. Sweat was building at the nape of his neck, his hands started to clothes around the top of his shirt trying to pull the fabric away from his throat. Kevin’s had nightmares before, ever since the day Kibum left. He was always trying to chase Kibum, always begging him to comeback only to be rejected or woken up from crying. Jun Hyung came into Kevin’s room one night to find him crying hysterically. He promised not to tell anyone and tried to help Kevin, so he slept with him like Kibum used to. In a way Kevin was using Jun Hyung in place of where Kibum should have been.
“Kevin!” Kibum started to gently shake Kevin to wake up him.
“..”
“Kevin wake the hell up!” Kibum started to shake him a bit rougher, but Kevin only screamed louder.
“Vinny! Vinny please wake up! Please Please Please!” Kibum was seriously starting to get scared, he pulled Kevin into his lap and at that he woke up. Tears streaming down his perfect pale cheeks, his breathing still irregular and harsh.
“Bummie….Bummie…you’re…” Kevin didn’t finish his sentence as he latched onto Kibum. Wrapping his arms tightly around his neck and climbing more into his lap, still crying. A seemingly endless stream of words for Kibum to stay and not leave came out of Kevin’s mouth.
“Shh Kevin it’s ok, it’s ok. I’m here…You’re Bummie is here Vinny.” Kibum tried to sooth Kevin, but his crying didn’t seem to let him. That’s when Kibum got desperate for his beauty to stop crying and start breathing because if he didn’t he was sure to pass out from lack of oxygen.
Kibum did the one thing he knew always calmed Kevin down. He gently pried Kevin’s arms from his neck while cupping his cheeks and placed a soft chaste kiss to his lips. Kevin responded right away, putting his arms back around Kibum’s neck and pressing harder against him.
“You can’t leave me, don’t please don’t leave me anymore!” Kevin started crying again and rested his head against Kibum’s chest while the latter wrapped his arms around him. Kibum was still in a daze from the kiss he just shared with Kevin. Kevin’s soft lips were just as good as before if not better. He missed him so much. He was broken out of his daze when he felt Kevin go limp in his arms. Kibum looked down to see his angel sleeping soundly. He rested against the headboard Kevin still curled in his lap and he fell asleep.
~*Morning*~
Kevin woke up from what he’d say was the best sleep he’s had in months. He felt warm all over and slowly opened his eyes. It took a short moment for it to register with him that he was in Kibum’s arms. He was confused until the memory of what had happened last night flashed in his mind. His nightmare. Kibum was leaving Kevin just like all his other ones, but this time he was making sure Kevin couldn’t follow him.
“You worthless piece of shit!”
“Kibum please…please I love you”
“Haha! I’m sure you do Kevin, but I don’t care. I’m too good for you.”
“Kibum! Please I’ll change I swear I will please…just please don’t go.”
Kibum’s eyes flashed with unmistakable rage.
“You slut! You think I don’t know of how you replaced me by letting Jun Hyung sleep next to you?”
Kevin’s mouth hung open, how did Kibum know? Before he could ask or say anything to deny it, Kibum’s hands were on his throat choking him.
Kevin shuddered at the dream. Kevin’s movement caused Kibum to stir awake. At first he smiled and wrapped his arms tighter around Kevin, like he used to do in the morning. Used to, at that thought he shoved Kevin off him.
“What the hell Kibum!?” Kevin shouted from his new position on the floor. Kibum looked at him with an awkward apologetic smile.
“Why were you on me?”
“I was going to ask you the same thing.”
Kibum knew why Kevin was on him, because seeing Kevin in such a state he couldn’t let him go. Even after seeing him asleep, he just couldn’t.
“Why did you kiss me?” Kevin asked looking anywhere but at Kibum a small pink blush gracing his cheeks. Kibum smiled, Kevin was still just as shy about skin ship with him. He missed his angel far too much!
“I knew it would calm you down.” Kibum got out of bed and started to stretch and walk to the door but stopped for a moment when he heard Kevin mutter a small thank you. Kibum turned around just as Kevin was getting off the floor.
“Let’s just start over Kevin, friends?” It hurt Kibum to ask that. Of course he didn’t want to be friends with Kevin. He wanted his angel back, but if Kevin moved on it would be awkward to ask, his pride wouldn’t let him.
Kevin felt his head spin. Friends? So Kibum really didn’t care about him anymore. He suspected as much, considering how easy it was for him to leave Kevin in the first place.
Kibum saw an arrange of emotions flash across Kevin’s face before he finally smiled.
“Friends.” Kevin extended his hand and Kibum shook it gently, while he started to feel hot all over. Kevin was so soft, and always had been. He needed to fix things with Kevin. He needed Kevin to fall in love with him again. They fell in love once right? It shouldn’t be too hard to do it again.

It’s been a month and a half since U-kiss debuted. 2 months since Kevin and Kibum saw each other again after a 7 month absence. Everything was going well, U-kiss was promoting well and had gained a fairly large fan base (with some thanks to Kibum, Kevin and the newly empowered Kemaru fangirls). Alexander wasn’t the only one who noticed how popular Kemaru seemed to be. The management did as well, and that’s when they came up with the brilliant idea to have Kevin and Kibum exploit this with fan service on stage.
Walking back to the car after the meeting Kevin and Kibum both looked devastated. Nothing in their relationship seemed to progress positively in Kibum’s eyes. Kevin still didn’t want him, he didn’t show any sign that he was falling for Kibum again. This sucked, he now had to be overly intimate with Kevin on stage. Sure they had their Kemaru moments during Xing, but that was different. Because it was real. Their love, their strong bond it was all real. It started next week at their next concert. Kibum was going to have to talk to Kevin about this when they got back to the dorm.

Dorm~
“Kevin we need to talk about this fan service thing.” Kibum said, as all the members of U-kiss headed to the living room. Although it was only between Kibum and Kevin, everyone was more than happy to help with cute ideas that would make fan girls scream!
“Well, let’s just do what we did while we were in Xing Hyung.” Kevin said. He sat next to Eli and rested his head again his chest smiling happily at him. Kibum noticed and tried to hold his jealousy back as Eli wrapped an arm around Kevin’s shoulder.
“Now it’s settled,” Alexander happily exclaimed while getting up from his spot next to Soohyun “lets watch a movie!”
It’s been awhile since all the U-kiss members could do something together. So watching a movie was the perfect thing to do! They could all bond and share popcorn and maybe even after play a game or two.
Kibum could barely focus on the movie. Why you ask? Because he was too busy watching Kevin and Eli. Since when did they become so close? Kibum scoffed, no he’s not jealous, of course not. He was ten times better than Eli! Sure Eli was more muscular but Kibum had abs too! There was nothing Eli had that Kibum didn’t. Granted he can communicate better with Kevin though, them both being American. Kibum felt a hand on his shoulder and someone oddly close to him.
“Don’t pay too much attention to them Kibum-ah, your turning green.” Alexander playfully said and before Kibum could retort he heard Kevin giggle. Giggle? When did Kevin start giggling? He never giggled when he was with Kibum.
Eli was whispering things into Kevin’s ear all throughout the movie and no one seemed to mind but Kibum. It was harmless to them, just two friends whispering to each other during a movie, but Kibum seemed to read into it too much. After the movie ended and Dongho turned the lights on, everyone could clearly see Kevin sitting on Eli’s lap resting against him. Kibum clenched his fists and ground his teeth. He was NOT jealous.
“Can we play a game Hyung!” Soohyun asked only to get a playful slap from Alexander. It was too weird to see someone like Soohyun acting cute. But everyone was excited at the mention of a game.
“What game?” Alexander asked, and that’s when Kibum shot up from his spot.
“TRUTH OR DARE!” Kibum shouted, this was the perfect chance for him to confront Kevin without looking like he was begging. Since it was Kibum’s idea it was only fair he got to pick who went first. Alexander had a bad feeling about this though. Dongho decided he didn’t want to play at that moment and went to sleep. Guess Xander wasn’t the only one uneasy.
“Kevin truth or dare” Kevin jumped a little at being picked first. But he was eager sitting up in Eli’s lap, as the latter wrapped his arms around his slim waist to keep him from falling. While Kevin was thinking of what he wanted to do, he missed Kibum’s very obvious glare to Eli.
“Truth!” Kevin said happily and leaned back against Eli who nuzzled into his neck cutely.
“Are you dating Eli?” Kevin’s eyes widened and he shot up from Eli’s lap.
“No.”
“Really then why did you look so cozy with him now.”
“Why do you sound jealous?” Kibum froze. Was it that obvious? He started feeling hot as a pink blush came upon his cheeks.
“I’m not.”
“Don’t lie Hyung!” Although it was apparent that Eli was joking from his now standing position next to Kevin holding his hand, it set Kibum off. He ran to Eli and punched him directly between the brow.
“What the fuck Kibum!” was heard and no one could determine who it was as Kibum quickly dragged Kevin to their shared room.
“Let me go!” Kevin yelled after snapping his wrist back and rubbing it. Kibum was frankly too rough on his delicate frame. Kibum closed the door locking it and started to pace.
“Are you with him?!”
“I told you no already.”
“Do you like him?”
“…..”
“Kevin…DO YOU LIKE HIM?”
“A little”
Kibum froze. He felt like his heart was just ripped out of his chest. Kevin liked Eli. Kevin….liked…Eli. Kevin didn’t want Kibum anymore it was obvious. Kibum was over taken with rage. No way would he let his angel slip away again.
“Kibum I-“ Kevin was cut off when Kibum’s lips were suddenly on his. Pressing hard against him, Kevin tried to fight back because Kibum was hurting him. Kibum pushed Kevin up against the wall and pinned his hands above his head with one hand, and with his other went up Kevin’s shirt.
“Hyung stop! Stop you’re hurting me!” Kevin said in-between the violent kisses Kibum was placing on his lips. But Kibum didn’t stop, he started crying while kissing Kevin. Feeling hurt and betrayed, although he knew very well it was his own fault.
“I hate you, I hate you I hate you…” Kibum muttered over and over then let Kevin fall unceremoniously to the floor. His lips were plump, red, wet and abused. Kibum never kissed Kevin like that. Kevin felt his heart break again. Kibum…hated him now? He didn’t protest when Kibum left the room and the dorm itself. He sat there on the floor and began to cry.
“I like Eli hyung…..but I love you….” Kevin curled up into a ball on the floor and sobbed. No one came to check on him as Soohyun and Alexander left to go find Kibum, and Dongho tended to Eli. Kevin got up from his spot, laughing slightly. At how foolish he had been to think Kibum could ever love someone like him again. He went to his dresser and pulled out a black box and opened it. Another little thing he picked up after Kibum left him.
It was a pity, Kevin liked being in U-kiss.
