i probably won't be going to New Orleans for a long while. I basically sat at home alone the whole weekend and that just blows. I hate that no one in my family even spent time with me. It was kind of pathetic ( Read more... )

It did indeed sell out, and it was full of mid-twenties bitches. For instance, we were at the top of the steps right before the drop into the pit I guess you could say. We were going to stand on the steps, but a girl just kind of walked in front of us and stopped. As we were discussing it, she turned around and said "Um, I've been standing here since seven o'clock" at which point I said I didn't want her spot anyway. Ten minutes later she left to sit on the balcony. Maybe I'm just easily irritated. Anyway, the entire band came out wearing masks and wings, the band with butterfly wings, and Sufjan with big bird-type wings. Apparently he's dropping the 50 state album idea for the moment, and the next cd is going to be about birds. It was a good show, but he's new to the touring thing and it was pretty obvious. Good show nonetheless. I shall see you at Death Cab. Imogen Heap is coming on the 18th (of November) also, let me know if you're going.
