Saw the Birthday Massacre last night in Northampton at the Roadmender in the big main room. Raggerdy Angry were the support who did an interesting set and had UV jumpsuits and guitars. The music was interesting but i didn't really like the vocals. There was a cool female computer voice that introduced songs, now if she sang

I thought of going to Northampton last night, but decided two midweek gigs outside of London would just be too much. Hopefully seeing them on Friday in Southend, though.

I would have gone to Oxford and maybe Birmingham if NMA weren't playing Nottingham that weekend. Still, there's always London. ;-)

Ooooh....NMA.

London is out as i'm heading up to Whitby that night. Such a shame they are not playing there. Heck i said as much to Chibi and she said she had no idea what was going on with all the bookings and bits and she loved Whitby went they went, but it was probably all politics and she just loved playing and having fun !

NMA 30th anniversary shows - 2 nights, different sets each night, no support, one acoustic and one "proper" set, lots of old stuff (at least 4 songs from each of their 13 albums)...

Nottingham October 22nd/23rd, London December 3rd/4th

(If TBM were playing Whitby, I might actually be going. But of a shame having them in the country at the right time without returning to headline Whitby...)

Oh Bollox. That sounds *AMAZING* - Their best gig for me was years back at the Astoria when they did an Acoustic and then Electrtic set as their own support. Was awesome, though oddly the acoustic set had a heavier pit as i think we were knackered by the time it got to the electric one !

I'm free clubwise on the 22/23rd as it is an odd 4th weekend (clubs tend to be on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, last) hence i could do TBM, but of the two NMA are more my faves, though Chibi is cuter and more hugable ! (you'd get killed by Joolz)
