I think evolution and intelligent design are both the same exact thing. one claims there is a being over us, the other refuses to believe there could be such a thing. But besides that, it's all the same.I think we shouldn't teach every creation story, but we should give the option for people to believe there is a god if they want to, it can be their choice as to which god, and they can do their own research.

But you have to realize that these are classes that are Required in schools. SO you would be required to learn about the Christian Creation but if you wanted another point of view youd have to research it yourself? Personally i think its good for people to know different creation stories. I also believe that Comparative Religion should be made and required in highschool. I would rather learn about many religions equally than only Creative design or only Evolution (which is usually only a small part of one lecture).

I had no idea that an unknown theory about the begining of the world; which no one actaully knows about; was Required to be taught in schools. I was home schooled.
In that case, then yes, I would take your side.

I say if religion is taught at all in schools, just as if evolution is taught in schools, it should not be a mono-theistic approach. They should definitely teach each and every one out there... or at least the larger world power type religions. At least then we could say people were informed and not complete ignorant asses.

Incidentally, I don't think I did well on my test... am studying differently for this next one...

Want to play WoW... meh..

In science classes, explanations about creation should be limited to SCIENTIFIC theories. If people want to teach how God, in all His infinite wisdom, created all of us to muck up His beautiful Earth, then that should be taught in a Religions class-- a class that explains the fundamentals of multiple major faiths, and not just the Jesus-y ones.

I also think the Christian people in question here are retarded. How can you sue someone for not teaching something? Especially something like a Religious belief???

i agree completely, a comparative religion course in our highschools is a great solution.
