Zack Fair, former SOLDIER First Class. Or at least he was 'former' back in Cloud's world. Hard to say now, because while the man did look a lot like his Zack, there were very small changes that let the Mako-eyed man know this wasn't the Zack Fair he knew. That smile and casual greeting for one was a big hint

"Spike." It was said mock-seriously, in response to hearing his full name.

"What happened to your Zack?" He's curious more than anything, but the concern for his alt is there.

"Spike?" He raised an eyebrow at that. Yes, no doubt that this wasn't the Zack Fair he knew.

Oh? One who quickly believed in the truth about different worlds? Well, that made his job easier. "He's less cheerfully than before." Cloud replied in soften tone, eyes lowering just a bit. "We all have since Aerith's death."

His eyes narrowed at that, and pain glinted in them for a moment. He didn't even want to think about losing Aerith. He supposed he could understand why there wasn't much light in his alt's eyes, now. "I'm sorry. Did--" he gestured out at the bobbing coffins, "she die here?"
