 Urgh... I just started reading this loathsome Newsweek article, which, while urging non-partisanship, flings out words such as liberal and libertarian as insults and then claims that the idea that torture doesn't work is but a "liberal shibboleth"!

I find it particularly odd that libertarian is so casually flung around as an insult by the MSM. I could see a few institutions lacking the journalistic integrity to present it fairly. But its just odd that they seem to be regarded with universal contempt by the media.

Whats even worse is when they use the term and are clearly ignorant of what the party represents. I once read an article that described John Yoo as having a "libertarian temperament". You know the guy that argued that the president has the authority to crush a mans testicle and that such an act did not represent torture. Ughhh.

Maybe you'll learn your lesson to never read Newsweek ever again.

(I learned this lesson myself after we got a subscription when my parents donated to NPR and every issue was an exercise in stopping my head from exploding.)
