[ So. Stuck in a house with a woman that decided to FLIP THE FUCK OUT on him for some ungodly reason..and let's not mention he couldn't summon his shield, his eyes were a sterling silver instead of wine red, he had round pupils, his teeth were..well. Normal, human teeth, and he actually had these..odd pangs of...of something in his gut, he decided ( Read more... )

I suppose I can fill you in on the details, though I don't want to overwhelm you with too much at once. The general jist of it is this.

This is Mayfield. It's a small town in America, and you live here now. The people that run it expect you to obey and play along, and you'll be punished if you don't.

There are people-that-aren't-really-people, they're called drones. They'll insist you've lived here your whole life and various other inanities to do with the setting. Like I said, those in charge expect you to obey and play along.

To further the illusion, everything that breaks the theme of the setting will have been taken away from you. Your clothes, your belongings...if you're not human, you are now, and your rightful body and abilities even have been taken away.

If you'd like to test that, I'll wait. There's more to come, though.

Ya don't say. [ He took it in stride. Strange news seemed to settle well with Greed, given he was from what was deemed an underground world of sorts, hidden away from the bright, innocent patrons of Amestris. ]

..Huh. Well..fuck, that's a set-back. At least I was halfway to immortality before. [ Voice deadpans, irked, but it's casual and easy once more. ]
I believe ya, but what happens if I play along? I kinda need my shit, this human business ain't exactly my cup of tea.

Well, you don't need to play along -too- hard. You're expected to sleep in the house you've been assigned at least once every three days. You'll receive a phonecall about your job some time soon, you'll be expected to show up at least once every three days ( ... )

[ Oh don't worry, Greed's quite amused by not only her tone of voice and how easily she was explaining things, but by how..well. Familiar it was, almost. A few details were off, but otherwise, that's pretty much the life he lead. He just didn't have to check in with daddy every three days. Or ever, for that matter. ] Eh, not bad..I'll wait for that phone call, just to see where I 'work' at. [ Oh, he could burst out laughing. Greed? Hold down an actual legal job? Ffffft. Better not suck ass, but..it was some kind of centz on the table, at least... ] I've been in tighter spots, but what's this whole droning shin-dig about?

Regeneration, I get. Last I checked though, that wasn't on the list of things humans can do, so what's up with that scene?

Ooooh, but wait. ...You don't say, we get our stuff back? Now that's what I'm talkin' about! [ You could almost hear the wicked grin in the slight growl that slipped in his voice. ] So, other than waitin' for them to come around and toy with me, how do I go about getting my stuff ( ... )
