With the same sword they knight you
they gon' good night you
That's only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
See Jesus, see Judas
See Caesar, see Brutus, see success is like suicide
If you succeed, prepare to be crucified

CHARACTER NAME: Greed
CHARACTER SERIES: Fullmetal Alchemist [ manga ]

[OOC]

Backtagging: Go for it as long as it's not over two months old, but if I don't see any posts within a few weeks, or posts are trickling in slowly, I'll ask that we summarize it in PM if it's important, post the summary in the thread, and consider it closed.
Threadhopping: Go for it. The more the merrier.
Fourthwalling: You're welcome to. I think it's hilarious, but Greed will just think you're insane.
Offensive subjects: ...LOLNONE. I'm polite, but don't let that fool you. I'm a vulgar bitch when I wanna be. My sense of humor can be pretty harsh, so I tend to throw around a lot of slurs, but nothing's meant by it. I tell Envy's player to go work on my railroad all the time. ♥

[IC]

Hugging this character:
Sure! He's friendly, though depending on the circumstance and person, you can get anything from an awkward pat on the back to possibly being groped.
Kissing this character:
Again, go for it! Greed loves attention, but...yeah. Circumstance. And be a little careful. He can be hospitable and come across as a gentleman, but don't think he won't push his boundaries.
Flirting with this character:
Hey, if you start something and he thinks you're hot, he'll flirt it right up with you. Otherwise, he'll probably laugh or go along with it as a joke.
Fighting with this character:
FFFFFFFFFif you're good, he'll have a blast, but he won't hold back. Even without a Philosopher's Stone, he will still kick ass and take names. If you're really good though, and you're NOT WRATH, he'll let you know how impressed he is and how good a time he's having.
Injuring this character:
Hmm...I'm not beyond letting him get the shit beat out of him. He's been bribed into submission. If it's anything major, like losing a limb, breaking something, then ask. Usually if you post the possibility of a blow, say, breaking Greed's nose, I'll handle it on my own without getting mad. If I don't want it broken, I'll dodge or something. Simple as that. Greed might get a little touchy/pissy though, since he's used to using his shield if the fighter's really good.
Killing this character:
Ask me first, plox. If he has his Philosopher's Stone, then I'll be less inclined to care. Greed laughs at death because of his regenerative powers, anyway. So..after he died and regenerated, he'd crack his neck, grin, and just come at you again.~ Don't expect any mercy though. Killing him only gets him even more excited and vicious.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character:
Go for it! You'll find some pretty lulzy things up there because he's just so damn COOL and AWESOME. Just ask me first, cause there are some thoughts Greed wants to keep to himself.

Warnings:
...Greed's er..ESRB rating can jump from PG to NC-17 pretty quickly for gore or sexual activity..and..well, he can be pretty damn kinky if you let him/want him to be. If you don't like lewd behavior or can't tolerate vulgar/possibly taboo suggestions, then I suggest you stay clear of him when he starts up. He's generally pretty chill, though.

Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Greed's a little tall for a man that looks like he's thirty, but he's got a wide, muscular build. Broad shoulders, the backside of a greek god, a square jaw, and his hands a little large. But hey, he knows how to use those hands.~

2. How old is he?
He's a little over two-hundred, the third-oldest out of the seven Homunculi. He looks about thirty, though.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
He slouches a little, actually, but not in a sloppy manner. Moreso a casual manner than anything else. Even so, he still carries himself with the pride of a demon.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's fit as a god damn fiddle. Seriously, even without his Philosopher's Stone, Greed's one tough son of a bitch. Not the fastest, but he packs one hell of a punch.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
He moves with a long stride. Neither graceful, clumsy, nor fluid. He doesn't strut his stuff, either, not unless he wants to. He simply moves with a laid-back confidence

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
As far as Greed knows, he's pretty hot shit. He's not conceited, but he's far from modest, too. He knows he looks good, he knows he's got that wild, bad-boy charm, and he works it when he wants to.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Greed's got fair skin with enough of a healthy tan to keep him from looking like someone who stays indoors. No scarring due to the Philosopher's Stone.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
He's got dark-chocolate hair..it looks black unless you see it in the sunlight, actually. His hair's kinda thick, but other than that and the fact that his hair kinda..STAYS in messy spikes on its own, it's your typical white-person hair.

9. What color are his eyes?
Normally they're a wine-red with feline-eqsue pupils, but here in Mayfield, they're a steel grey. They actually change colors a bit depending on his mood, going from blue-steel to a brownish-grey.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
..Uh. Well. Normally, he doesn't wear a shirt. He has his shield permanently covering his torso, and those little red nodes on his collar and obliques are pretty obvious, along with the red lines leading to them. His sunglasses, his serrated shark-teeth, his cheeks and temples are a little sunken and his nose is big? Other than the obvious shield, red eyes and his clothing--none of which he has any more, he looks normal. Only thing he's got left is his spiky hair-style.

11. What are his chief tension centers?
Shoulders and neck. He finds cracking his neck helps relieve some of it. Martel always helped with his tension, Dorochette was pretty good with his hands, too.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
..Barely there. Usually consists of his favored, fur-lined vest, black denim pants, and his boots. He prefers darker colors, and..not wearing much in general.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
His pants aren't really tight, just form fitting because he likes comfort. It's nothing constricting. He's a melee fighter too, so they have to be able to stretch and move around a lot. Else he'd be out a lot of pants and centz, and he'd be mad.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
If he can get away with it, he would. He likes to be comfortable, and it never hurt when he wanted to show off what he's got.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Boycuts, actually. Maneuverability, and they don't chaff.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Husky, and usually pretty tame and suave, but there's always that subtle...feral hint to his voice.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
He's a smooth talker. Not to fast, nor does he take forever to spit it out. Words come to him easily, and he has a tendency to speak what's on his mind unless the situation calls for otherwise.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
Not really. Unless he's excited or going for a certain effect, there's really no distinctive annunciations. He does swear though, and he'll shorten words here and there, but nothing severe.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
English? Unless the guys at Central were retarded enough to come up with their own seekret language and left Greed out cause they're jealous.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
    Nope.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
Hell yeah he's a good public speaker. He stands by every word he says without a shadow of a doubt, and he's good at getting the effect he wants.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Pretty eloquent. Sometimes if he's really caught off guard, he'll fumble out of shock, but it's pretty hard to surprise a Homunculus. When he gets pissed off, he might
flaps his gums a bit too much, but otherwise, he knows what he's saying, and it's being said for a reason.

Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Street smart. Greed's been around for two-hundred years, quite possibly working behind the scenes for about a hundred, so he's amassed general knowledge, but he doesn't sit down and study. If he needs to know something, he can always hit up one of his Chimeras or contacts throughout Amestris.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He thinks on his feet. Sometimes he'll make plans, but he never really gets too detailed since he puts a lot of trust in his instincts. He gets about as far as what he wants to accomplish and how to set the plan in motion. The rest is played by ear.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Intuitive and practical, but because he's..well. GREED, his goals are pretty idealistic. He tries like hell, though. You gotta give him that.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
No formal education. Homunculi don't need education.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Fighting. As far as raw skill goes, Wrath is the only one that surpasses Greed's melee skills, and that's cause he relies on stupid swords. He's also good at holding his booze. He's more interested in learning about you.~

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
    Extrovert, all the way, baby.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He's usually pretty hospitable and well-mannered for a Homunculus. At least when the situation calls for it and he wants something. Then he can play nice. He's can be patient and deal with people well enough for..well. A Homunculus, but he does have a temper. I wouldn't suggest trying to goad him into a fight.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
Pretty enthusiastic. A new chance to claim more possessions, but he doesn't wag his tail like some puppy. He's pretty chill and relaxed about it, taking everything in stride unless things get weird.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Way more likely to act. One doesn't come about owning the world by waiting for the universe to hand it over, afterall.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight. Greed loves a good fight. Nothing like the thrill of a worthy opponent. He won't fight women, though.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
All over the map. Depending on his mood, he can go for pranks, jokes, puns, innuendos, inn-ur-endos, whatever have you.~

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
...He's..the embodiment of Greed? And he deals with it by hoarding more things?

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?
Breaking away from Pops to strike out on his own. Nothing like that freedom.

14. What does he fear?
Letting Central win and take all his shit just to kill it...? But that's not really a fear. More like something that annoys the piss out of him.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
"I'm Greed. I want everything you can think of. Money and women, power and sex. I want everything the world's selling, and eternity's topping the list!"

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
The very thing Ling later pointed out after he hosted Greed's Stone. Greed doesn't just want the physical, but he wants to lay claim to intangible things, as well. A possible weakness as far as hateful Homunculi are concerned, he doesn't exactly make this very well known.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
He doesn't hate the prick that made him, but he felt 'Pops' was holding him back.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
Not really, but Pops considers the embodiment of the seven deadly sins... 'siblings.' Little's known about their relationships, other than he thinks Pride's a stuck up little prick, Envy's the devil's asshole and twice as ugly, and he actually likes Lust for..reasons, but he's seen yelling profanities at everyone in the end.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
Envy. |: He gets on Greed's nerves like no one's business. He's like a hemorrhoid.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Not really. He's close with the misfits he houses at the Devil's Nest, but he doesn't have family. He's just their respected leader.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
He seems to be closest to Martel, Roa, and Dorochette, but it's hard to say exactly. As far as all of his Chieras are concerned, he freed them from a military lab.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Nope. None that we see. It can be assumed he at least keeps in touch with the people that do follow him, though that doesn't mean they're any higher up on his list of possessions.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
Greed's the easiest person to befriend considering he wants to claim anyone he runs into, pretty much. Even if they're belligerent, he doesn't have a hard time getting along unless they spark his temper. Once you belong to him, he'll look out for ya, but he's not gonna come barreling in at the drop of a hat.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
...Er. Friends? He's never had a family so he can't say it's more important.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
    Single. ....NO. NO. NO. NEVER.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
No. Greed doesn't get that attached. He's a Homunculus. Any kind of romance he'd dare pursue would be fake, simply because he'd want romance just to say he has it.

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
None? But he can tell you about some fine people he's met, now.~

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
Gotta have the look. The rest is subjective depending on his particular mood. He likes them feisty, though.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
NO. NO. NO, HE DOES--well, technically, grandchildren would include 'everything.' But he is a Homunculus. He can't reproduce.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
No, but Envy hate--WRATH. WRATH. GREED HATES WRATH. WITH A BURNING PASSION OF HATRED.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
He really doesn't have an orientation. If it's hot, and hits on him, then..were there's a will there's a way. He's not a man-whore, mind you, but he won't turn down an offer.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Oh he likes it. It's not very important, not like the thinks about it all the time, even if he can be lewd at times, but as mentioned above, he won't turn it down.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
    |: Keep feet away from him. Other than that, just be careful. Without his stone, he can get pretty rough if you let him/want him to--with it, try not to provoke him too much, considering he could crush bones without even trying.

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
He's a  Leo, and fits every aspect of that zodiac perfectly. As far as the horse goes, he's pretty close.

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
How religious can an abomination be? No. No he is not, nor is it important. He's materialistic.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Not really. He doesn't fight women, but that's about it. His 'morals' all depend on what he wants from you. Women weren't viewed as fighters at all when he was created, so he disregards them as opponents for the most part. Exceptions to the rule vary by circumstance, but it's not really often.

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
He doesn't give a fuck either way. Just don't annoy him with religion or he'll start shoving what he really is in your face just to make you shut up.

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
Greed wants everything. He doesn't care. He doesn't hate much, except for WRATH cause he KILLED HIS CHIMERAS. Envy just annoys the piss out of him, and he's fun to tease.

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Preeeeeetty safe to say that he was rich in Dublith. Interior of the bar's pretty sweet once you get past the facade of rubble.

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
He's a shadow, he lives in the deep, dark Underground, away from polite and sheltered society. It hasn't changed him at all and the status seems to make his life a hell of a lot easier.

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
NORMALLY, he lives in a very well-decorated interior of a very nice bar that, of course, includes living quarters. But now he's stuck in a plain-jane house just like everyone else has, and he hates it. Oh, how he hates it.

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
He doesn't like to spend it. It's his. If he can get something without spending money, he's one happy little Homunculus.

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He's..a power-hungry Homunculus? A gang leader? An entrepreneur? He enjoys all of them, and of course he'd rather do something else. He wants and wants to do everything.

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
....Many, many ways. Collecting thins, I suppose, could be called his hobby. And fighting, mmyes.

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He doesn't need to eat, sleep, or drink, but he loves booze of any kind. The stronger the better, and he'll drink any fool under the table.
