Honestly, I couldn't even get halfway through On The Road. I can see why his writing would appeal to others though, and I really should force myself to finish it, if only just for referential purposes. In my opinion, out of all of the beat generation writers, I think W. S. Burroughs was the best.

Hes one of my favourite authors as well. Though of the beat poets i think i prefer Ginsberg. Im not sure why, hes works are just totally awe inspiring for me. I havent read Big Sur, but ill look into it. On the road defiantly changed the way i think about writing though, and sparked my interest in writers that he influenced like Bukowski and John Fante. Other writing always seems a litle dry in comparison.
