Well said. I admit, this is the first election that I've voted in, and I'm glad to be able to say that I did so. Even if all that's being sold to us is hope, it's a lot more than has been offered by others. I also want to believe that the America we want to have is worth something. Maybe eventually we can open our doors again to all who will help us build a better world rather than making them spend years waiting at the gates.

People have been sold far to long on voting out of personal fear without regards to others. I personally watched and heard a tower fall and later saw people who weren't even there embrace their own sense of security over freedom and possibility. I hope that today we can change that, and make a vision worth fighting for.

I agree though, we've set the bar pretty high, and everyone has to keep that going if that vision is to become a reality.

even in expecting this result today, it still feels special.
