yesterday i worked from 9:30am to 11pm. it was a split shift, the first one being 9:30 - 3:00, and the second one being 3:30am - 11:00pm. the first one was kind of a big deal. it was the served lunch for the board of trustees before they ran off to be old rich people. the next shift was at liberty hill, which is the name of our presidents house. HEY! long time no read from you. yeah i think a lot of rich people have lost their decent human being status. but these people do give a lot of money to my school (hey kinda like me) so they can't be all that bad. i'm just being cynical i guess.

Hey Brooks--
I've been to Liberty Hill (last summer) because I was an OA and our OA party after orientation was over is held there. Al Simone, like most people in charge, has certain things I agree and disagree with, but he's a nice guy and loves baseball. That is a nice place, and just think, a lot of those rich people aren't so bad because Simone is putting on those nice lunches and dinners to help get them to give our school money. Our school is really lucky that it does get so much money from various alumni and rich people actually because we do quite a lot for the colleges and programs and other stuff from it. That's cool you get to do that for a job though, especially if you get to eat the food for your lunch or dinner :). Have fun and I'll ttyl sometime Brooks...

Al simone is kind of a jerk. but i guess you're right about the other people. i guess the last two times i worked at liberty i was there for long shifts and i was really tired both times. so, i'm just being a tired cynical person.

that's ok -- yeah long shifts are exhausting after awhile -- it's like you get home from them and are so tired you don't even feel like doing anything -- I worked at a banquet hall at home a couple summers ago -- lots of summer weddings on Fri and Sat evenings (3pm - midnight shifts) -- so I know what you mean :) -- it can be fun, stressful, interesting and tired all at the same time -- a good experience though -- I enjoy working around people, especially when they're in a good mood, whether from the drinks or the wedding itself ;)
