Word of the day! Plus other stuff.

Today’s word is bought to you by Chris Chelios. *sob*

The word is Druxy.

It describes something which looks good on the outside but is rotten on the inside.

Small Chelly rant. )

horses, rants, ouchness, words, hockey

New word! Yay! I am a big word-geek too, it's nice to have someone to share it with. I will have to remember that one.

And poor you! *pets you* That was pretty brave. If I'd been hurt like that I would have sat in a corner and cried and demanded people bring me ice-cream until I felt better. Which maybe you could still try? *hands you virtual ice-cream*

Words are the coolest thing man ever invented. Better than the wheel. :)

I wouldn't call me brave. It's just that I hate to be down for long. Funny thing, if a horse clocks me one I always cry, but doors? Not so much.

I did make Husband cook me dinner. Does that count?

You know, just because hockey players and other pro athletes are willing to play with a concussion doesn't mean you have to. Seriously, you should get your head and neck x-rayed, just to be on the safe side.

I've always been one to keep going if I possibly can. Apparently I'm stubborn. :) Really, I just feel worse if I stop.

But seriously, I've had a couple of concussions in my time and this isn't like that. I'm still functioning fine and not feeling concussed at all. If I went now the doc would just tell me to take some paracetamol. (And then he'd look in my file and tell me to change jobs...again.)

I'll see how I feel in the morning and go from there.

Also? Your teddy bear makes me smile. I'm glad you won him, since I couldn't.

Dude! You are hardcore, getting up after a hit like that. I'd still suggest a visit to the doctor, just to make sure nothing's cracked or broken. That would be mucho bad.

Chelly did that? Wow. He's usually the one I envision kicking other guy's heads if they don't do that. Then again, he could have gone the Dino Ciccarrelli route and shaken their hands, then afterwards in interviews proclaim 'I can't believe I shook those guy's friggin' hands'.

Don't panic. I'm okay. The slight headache was completely gone next morning and my neck's just a little stiff. Chiropractor will fix that on my next visit. :)

He's usually the one I envision kicking other guy's heads if they don't do that.

That's what annoys me most. I've read interviews where he says he's all about the sportsmanship and honour and blah, blah. Pulling something like this makes him look a right hypocrite. Or a big baby. Either way, no more Chelly love from me...

Genlty pats uninjured side of head!! See you have all the makings of a great hockey player - bred to be thwapped into solid walls and keep on going. You missed your calling.
Hope your feeling better now!

Hahaha, well, except for the bit where I can't skate. Besides, with horses there's always plenty of opportunity to be thwapped. My injury list reads like a hockey player's anyway.
