A fear thing I pinched from
heartofdavid If you get more than 30 I strongly recommend some counseling!
If you get more than 20 you’re paranoid.
If you get 10-20 then you are normal.
If you get 10 or less you’re fearless (but odd)
I Fear…
[X] the dark -Only when it’s absolutely pitch black, then I can’t move. If I can see shapes, I’m fine.
[ ] staying single forever
[ ] being a parent
[ ] giving birth
[ ] being myself in front of others
[ ] open spaces
[ ] closed spaces
[X] heights - This is my big terror. I can’t even stand on a chair to change a lightbulb. If I get too close to the edge of a balcony my legs give out. You can imagine the mocking I get at work when we stack hay roof high in the shed and then I have to get down.

[ X] frogs/toads - Green tree frogs and cane toads only. I was staying on a farm when I was about 15 and there were tree frogs everywhere. I picked one up in the kitchen and was holding it on my hand, admiring it’s cute buggy eyes and it’s funny little fingers and toes when Earl (I kid you not) slapped the underside of my hand and sent the frog flying at my face. That night I had a vivid nightmare of slowly and painfully being sucked into the fingers of a giant tree frog. Scarred for life.
[ ] my boyfriends/girlfriends dad
[ ] my boyfriends/girlfriends mom

[X] jumping from high places - I can’t even breathe when I step onto a downward escalator. Like I’m going to be able to jump off stuff.
[ ] snow
[ ] rain
[ ] wind
[X] crossing bridges - Walking over the wobbly kind is impossible. The ones where you cross roads are to be avoided if at all possible. Driving over traffic bridges is fine.
[ ] death
[ ] heaven
[ ] being robbed
[X ] falling- I actually pass out when I fall. But isn’t this all the same fear as heights? I mean, I fear heights because of the risk of falling and fear falling because of the height.

A grand total of 7. I'm apparently fearless, which is so very wrong, since I'm crippled by a couple of those.
Something that doesn't scare me, but makes me feel quite disappointed in myself is that I have a very real urge to buy a Nickelback CD. I mocked Nickelback mercilessly a while back. I have issues with any band that releases singles where the lyrics are interchangeable. You should not be able to sing one while the other is playing and have it fit perfectly.
And yet? Chad Kroeger's voice is doing things to me that is usually reserved for Mounties, French Canadian Goalies In Penguins Jerseys and Nick Rhodes. I'm ashamed, but I don't want to stop.
I don't know what to make of the Penguins right now.
I miss Mark Recchi. Mr January is now a Thrasher and I have 9 more days of his image in a Pens jersey mocking me from the calendar on my wall.
I miss Flower. Plus I'm afraid for his job. He's taking a long time to get over the dreaded high ankle sprain and Conklin is doing a brilliant job in his place. With his contract up at the end of the season, I can only hope he kicks some serious ass when he comes back so he gets renewed. I feel like a traitor because I wasn't upset when Conklin finally lost one. I want them to win, but I don't want Conklin to look so damn good.
Sid is out for who knows how long with a high ankle sprain of his own now. At least they won't throw him away, but he does make for good viewing.
Interestingly enough, I really don't feel much at all about Gary Roberts being out. I can't seem to get as attached to him as everyone else appears to be.
