Harry Potter!

Today has been such a great day.

I got to go see Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince!

I really, really enjoyed the film and I don't think some of the trailers did it justice, it was - for the most part - was all about the snoggin'.

I decided to "clean up" this review, because lets be honest, it was quite craptastic.

I actually really liked the movie. I've always thought they got a bit better as they went a long, even though the books themselves seem to get longer and longer in the series.

It's humorous! That gets a big plus in my book, the books are so funny and I feel that the movies have sort of taken that out. The humour in this movie isn't exactly the humour we usually see in the books, but it was nice to see humour in the movie and quite a bit of it.

Half-Blood Prince (book) is one of my favourites - though they all are really - but the one thing that bothered me the most about the book was the fact that Harry was so damn obsessed with Draco. I mean honestly, get over it Harry. Thankfully, the movie cut out a lot of it. *yay*

Out of the trio, I think Ruprrt Grint is probably the best of the three. And his comedic skills in this film are awesome, the love potion is probably one of my favourite moments in the film. Everything about those moments was top notch.

The Burrow Scene: I'm sure there are thoughts all out there that are either "nay" or "yay" about that scene, I for one, loved it. I realize it didn't happen in the book - with the exception of the Harry telling Remus & Mr. Weasley about Draco - but it was still awesome. Plus, it meant more of Bellatrix. It just was done well, and I felt that it was a good way to show that the Death Eaters are constantly after Harry & the Order. That being said, I would trade it for other scenes, better scenes, that actually happened in the book.

One of my favourite moments, mostly because its the cutest thing ever, was Luna's Lion hat. I really, really want one. :P

My biggest disappointments?

Well... this isn't really the film & script writers fault, but the lack of Neville & Luna, although Luna actually got quite a bit of screen time. But that is mostly JK Rowling's fault, because there is a lack of the two in the book.

The "Battle" (or lack of) at Hogwarts, that was such an awesome moment in the book and here they completely toned it down.

Dumbledore asking Harry if he and Hermione were "together" or whatever. It's disappointing on so many levels. The movies have always hinted at a Harry/Hermione relationship, hell poor Ron has been shoved aside for more Harry/Hermione-time. It's ridiculous.

And this is really a follow up to the above, but the ending scene with the trio, what was the point of Ron being there? It was entirely focused on Harry & Hermione.
