I live in Texas, and for that I have a special affinity for the Noah's Ark treatment in regards to Mexico.

May I ask what the Noah's Ark treatment is? I live in AZ, so I feel your pain.

"So, whoever built this thing had a bunch of money? In Mexico, that really narrows it down quite a bit."

Why assume that who ever made it was Mexican? They could have easily been American. Hell, they could have been Russian, for all we know. Anyone can make money off of the trafficking of drugs and emigrants.

Especially with its proximity to the airport, anyone could have been using it

Or, for that matter, Saudi. Think about *that* one a while.

I've always said that it would be ludicrously easy to get a WOMD into the country. All you'd have to do is hide it in a bale of marijuana. I think this tunnel gives me all kinds of jibblies.

The whole Mexican border has that affect on me.

With the help of Google Earth, I've narrowed this down to two or three buildings on the Mexican side, and two buildings on the American side.

two tons of weed. i'm beginning to feel like jim breuer from "half baked".

"We're very concerned. When we find these tunnels, we see that as a
vulnerability to our national security."

kudos to the fella that said that. i think he needs a cookie.

Personally, I would've laid in wait for someone to use the tunnel before blabbing to the press about it. It's what they call a "sting operation".i agree with you on that one, too. at least if we waited so they didn't know we found it, we could capture the people using it, interrogate them, and hopefully figure out who's behind it all. shoot, why do we NEVER do things like they do on TV ( ... )

I dunno. People on both sides are starting to wake up to the border issue. The only question is if they woke up in time.
