Personality: Easy-going should describe Kintarou right off the bat. He takes things easily, in a relaxed manner. Or, as relaxed as it could be for him: Another way to describe him is that he's easily excitable, especially if it concerns things he absolutely likes: Super Sentai, Manga, food. It would be like watching the energizer bunny on a sugar rush. But he's pretty easy to get along with. He has his own pace of doing things-- so much so that it's like he lives in his own world sometimes. What kid his age doesn't think about sex? He's probably the only one. Sometimes, people would say that Kintarou is pretty simple-minded. They wouldn't be so far off. He doesn't exactly like dwelling on things. He takes them as they are, flaws and everything. Kintarou is pretty hard working too, when he puts his mind to it. Especially if it concerns a hobby/activity/anything that he is very passionate about.
History: All his life, Kintarou had wanted to be famous. He tried sports first, like any other boy his age. He went through soccer, baseball, tennis, basketball, but they never really caught his attention. He'd miss practice because he didn't want to miss the super hero anime special on TV that morning, or that there is a two-hour special on his favorite tokusatsu series, or that he absolutely had to go to the movies because the movie finale to the anime series he was watching was finally premiering.
And that's when it hit him. He was playing with his pet dog Amuro, named after famous Gundam star Amuro Ray, one day and hit his head on a tree branch while trying to make a super secret hideout in his backyard-- Why be famous in sports when he could be famous by creating super heroes? Immediately, he began drawing, sketching, coloring. While his parents didn't really like the idea of Kintarou being a manga artist when he grows up, they figured he was just in a phase and would grow out of it.
They were absolutely wrong. When Kitarou reached high school, he'd submitted over 300 illustrations, one-shots and contest entries to publishers and competitions and received a few medals and awards already. He'd even found himself a job as an assistant to an already published manga artist. One day, Kintarou tells himself, he will become a published manga artist and he'll have lots of series and a line of anime and maybe even a live action series to his name. He'll be famous!
