Anyone here into Stars? They're playing at Bimbo's in November and I want to pick up tickets, but I also don't want to be that creepy old guy standing in the back of the show by himself.

Dood, Glenn, Brian and I used to drive around Dublin during lunch and asses how high vans scored on the "rape van" meter. You sir have just scored a perfect 10.

I've never heard of them before, but listening to them on their site, they sound pretty amazing.

I highly, highly recommend them. "Set Yourself on Fire" was one of my favorite albums from a couple of years ago, and I just got their new one "In Our Bedroom After the War" today and it's great too. It almost makes me regret being in a stable relationship, cause "Set Yourself on Fire" is the best breakup album ever. Almost.

I like Stars but I wish I liked Bimbo's more.

What's your deal with Bimbo's? My only problem with the place is that I dated the door girl there and now I'm always terrified I'm going to run into her. *shudder*, bad experience. Besides that it's just about my favorite venue in SF.

It's a beautiful place, I just don't seem to have much fun at shows there. Like I can never get a decent view and there's always a lot of background noise.
