Ask the maker tutorials part II requested by sweet_lyri.

Okay, let's start with this one.
The original cap is really well lighten and has a beautiful color already as you can see.

I cut Kara from the cap and resize it. I add a curves layer to add just a bit of light, not too much.
And now a new gradient map with my fav gradient set to soft light 45% opacity.

Make a new vibrance layer with vibrance 100 and saturation 20.
And then another gradient map with these colors in normal mode 19% opacity.

Make a new brightness/contrast layer with brightness 15 and contrast 13.
Make a new gradient fill with a pale blue color (#6a99bc) with the angle at 90º set to soft light.
Then another one with grey (#7f7f7f) and blue (#d5effa) with the angle 42,51º set to soft light.

And now a new layer paint with a soft big brush with another blue (#bbdffa) set to soft light 50% opacity. Something like this.
And that's basically it! Easy, right? Now merge everything and duplicate the base in case you need to erase something and put some topaz on it. Duplicate that and sharpen as you wish. And that's all! Erase pixelated parts if there're any and you're done!

And let's go for the next icon.
I used this cap of Cordy.

Crop it and duplicate it four times and set them all to screen. Duplicate it once more and set it to soft light.
Use my fav gradient map to soft light 23% opacity. And then this other one to soft light 50% opacity.

Now merge everyhting. I made a new fill layer with a beige color for the background (#b8ae9c). Now duplicate the base and put it on top. Sharpen it as you like and erase around her so that the plain background is visible.
Now we should have this.
Then I used this texture that I think it's by lookslikerain, but I can't be sure. Set to multiply 30% opacity and erase around her face.
Make a new vibrance layer with vibrance 100. And now a new color balance. Midtones. -47, -13, +65. The icon is pretty blue now.
I used this other texture (I don't know the maker, sorry!) and clipped a new hue/saturation layer. Hue +131. Set the texture on screen 75% opacity. Duplicate the texture and the clipped layer. Make a new vibrance layer. Vibrance 100, Saturation 20. Her cheek was a little pixelated after all that so I painted on it with a soft brush in a navy color on normal mode 73%. And that's all!!

If you have any doubt I'm here to help!
I hope you enjoyed these tutorials and that you have learned something! That's what it's all about right? :)
