WTF PastDue Credit Solutions? Need advice.

Frick! Not something else thrown my way! >:(

So last week I got a letter from PastDue Credit Solutions, saying to contact them over an important matter. The letter said nothing about what it was. I was dubious as it seemed very generic and a bit fishy. I did a little research on-line and found a forum topic on the subject. people were warning not to respond to it as there are companies who chase up old debts even if they are out of date, to try and get money out of you. So I didn't call them, I wanted to see if they continued to try and get in contact with me.

Today I got another letter finally stating a little of what this is all about.

This is the letter I received!

Eon,...what is that? Looking around it seems like they used to be, or took up PowerGen.

I can say with out a doubt that all I ever owed powergen was paid off well before I moved to London When I moved to London, I had it all paid off and taken care of. So I don't understand what this is.

There is part of me that wants to call them up and try and clear this up, let them know I owe nothing to eon/powergen as it was all paid before I moved, back at the end of October 2006. But there is also a part of me that is worried, if they are just a company trying to swindle people out of money over old/dead debts, that if I call them I'll just be confirming my identity with them, etc.

Has anyone here ever gotten a letter like this when they know there is no actual debt with the company involved? Or can anyone generally throw some advice my way?

I'm clueless as what I should do..

stress, powergen, debt, eon, money
