In completely unrelated news, is there a season in which Oz jumped the shark? 'Cause I just finished Season 3, and I'm about to get Season 4, but I don't want to venture into sucky territories, so I'm relying on those who came before me to help a sister out.

Also, I kept seeing scenes that I recognize from your icons and thinking of you. Heh, you've brainwashed me with pictures of Keller. Oh, Keller... ::swoon::

Yay for Oz-watching! I think Season Four approaches the shark with some stories but keeps it at bay with other great stuff. Season Five starts the jump over the shark and Season 666 completes the fall.

Season Four has some absurd storylines, but in other ways, was the best season of them all. Partly because there were 16 episodes, instead of only eight. It's also a very intense, very dramatic year for B/K (trying not to spoil things here), so as a B/K fan, I loved it.

Oh, Keller... ::swoon::
And another one falls.

B/K! Goody! I spent all of Season 3 yelling at Beecher to get over that whole leg breaking thing and get on with the man-lovin'

Thanks for the tips, I defer to your impeccable taste in all things Oz.

Ah, Season Three. Repentant!Lovestruck!Keller! Mindfucking nuns and trying to fuck Toby. It was a great year.

Really! Tom Fontana is a master of delayed gratification. I know Toby had to make Keller work for it, but I got as frustrated as Keller, waiting for the thaw. But that New Year's Eve kiss does make it all worth it.

I just met little Maxie yesterday! Although I guess she's not little now.

Wait - real little Maxie? Because they heartlessly (that's a bad pun if you know her character!) recast her, brought her back and then recast her again!

I don't think originalMaxie is a very good actress, but she was part of what is probably GH's best-loved storyline, so recasting her with Generingenue was annoying.

Are you feeling better?!

Real little Maxie. The one who was Maxie when she was 6.

That's a lovely pun, haha.

The new Maxie used to be on Days. That's how I know her. But little Maxie is one of our clients so she came in. She's sweet.

I'm not really :( They sent me home from work yesterday and today. Haha. 2 weeks in and already being sent home!

NuMaxie isn't so bad, but she's no great actress. And I don't think she's prettier than Robyn Richards, so I don't get it. Oh well. I'm glad to know realMaxie is sweet.

It sounds like you work for pretty humane agents. I know some who wouldn't send you home even if you needed an IV!

Beautifully written. I've never watched GH, so I'm not familiar with the characters, but these stories work great as standalones.

And good to finally lure you out of lurky. Ya better be around a little more often now. *g*

Wow, thanks for reading the fics and for the compliments. It's kind of gotten me back in the writing mood, so maybe I can do more than edit someday!

And yeah, I'm back, I guess : )

OMGYOU!

[makes out]

I haven't made out with in *forever*! ;)

And it's interesting that you brought up soapoperafic. I consider this a sign that God really does want me to start writing Days of Our Lives fic again. Because I've *totally* rediscovered my love for this train wreck of a television show. Seriously, it's actually catastrophic at this point. But it's catastrophic in a good way that is hilarious and very helpful with the providing of plot bunnies.

Yay - I get homecoming makeoutage!

As for soap opera fic, I know people love to mock soaps. And to a large extent, they deserve it. But I cut my teeth on GH fanfic, and some of it is amazing. I was shocked when I read SVU fanfic, because I was used to GH and Oz, which have a very high quality. And SVU, er, does not. So go for it! I don't know if I know enough of the characters on Days to know who's who anymore, but I do know it's always been a much more fun soap to watch than GH, which, these days, is mostly misery!

Sweetie? A grade 2 student with tourettes syndrome would provide better quality writing then some of the rampant idiocy disguising itself as fic in the SVU fandom. I've gone completely off of that show. I watch for CM and CM alone and, with every ep, the desire for CM to leave the show so that I don't have to watch it anymore becomes that little bit stronger.

Yeah, DOOL snuck up on me. I stopped watching for a while during the Serial Killer storyline, when all of the "victims" showed up alive and well-tanned on on of Stefano DiMera's deserted islands. But now one of my tv girlfriends has a good storyline and is part of a couple that I have absolutely fallen in love with and I have a sinking suspicion that a lot of my future DOOL fic is going to be uncharacteristically devoid of angst.

I'm giggling here, picturing a contest in which judges try to identify fics written by FF.net authors or by grammar school kids with Tourettes. Sadly, the Tourettes fic would probably be better!

I saw some of the Serial Killer stuff - I just couldn't believe they were going to make Marlena a serial killer. And does that woman have some kind of anti-aging device? She looks damned good for her age.

Also, to make a DOOL/GH connection, John Black actor's real-life son is now on GH, playing Luke and Laura's nephew, who has just come out of the closet! The kid's not a great actor, but then again, neither is his dad. Though I've never minded Drake as much as many people seem to.
