Is it sad that I had no idea this came from Zoolander? And I've seen Zoolander. And laughed, heartily, at Zoolander.
Somewhere in the back of my mind, I am thinking I never fully explained that whole Annie Proulx/BBM fanfic/London mention of your story. I assume you googled and discovered the history on your own. I still think it was cool that you were complimented :)
NaNoWriMo reminds me of a sentence a University prof said to me long ago, about the workload in his class: "There are no stops down the slide of this particular razor blade".
That said, I'm 1000 words ahead. Currently.
I'll be watching TV most of the night though. C'mon Obama!
Hee, well, what I meant is that I hardly believe Hillary looks that happy right now. I imagine she's sulking in a dark room in a mansion right now. I'm envisioning she's in a study with a big oak desk and one of those spinning highbacked chairs and she's stroking a cat in her lap and mumbling "Next time, my pretty, next time." And Bill is knocking on the door, all "C'mon honey, you've been in there since the primaries, you can't plot revenge and ruination forever."
Seriously, what were we thinking? I remember being semi-confident Kerry would win, and as I see now, he wasn't leading in any of the polls before the election. Maybe one. But I had hope. Then we got all that early good news.
Ugh. I just want it to be over. And for Obama to win.
Maybe a stop at the liquor store on the way home is in order.
It was a pretty major pollster that had Kerry ahead, wasn't it? Zogby, maybe? That had me convinced Kerry would pull it off somehow. No wonder the next morning I was curled in a fetal position and crying.
So yes, let's be prepared this time. To the liquor store!

Are you writing something new? Or did you cheat and go back to an old story??? :)
There's no way I'll be able to blog every day, but hell, I should be able to come up with a few things to say!
And yes, come on, come on!

It's something old. I'm not counting from the beginning, though -- just what I've done since the beginning of November.
