So - I wrote this right after Ghost aired. And I know it ignores the Olivia scene and what is now accepted to be O/A canon. But I don't care. We all have our OTP. And it's my birthday, so I can post if I want to.

I should note this is just a brief little work in never-to-be-completed progress.

It's from one of my all-time favorite movies, the 1950 Bette Davis classic, All About Eve. I've watched it a dozen times if I've watched it once. Seriously, if you haven't seen it, check it out. The movie features some of the best--and bitchiest--dialog ever to hit the silver screen.

After seeing so much Angry!Elliot and Angsty!Elliot, I was struck, in Ghost, at how happy he seemed. Almost serene. As if getting Alex back restored a little piece of sanity to his world. And it was so nice to see that in this dark season for Stabler.

And I really like the icon you stole too

Forgot to add that "SoNotInControlAlex" was fun to write, too. I like it when she gets a little flustered. I like to think they do that to each other.

Mmmm, I love A/E. It was "Execution" that started it! That was the HetYay ep to end all HetYay eps for me. And that's coming from someone who tried to find a way to overdose on E/O fic when first introduced to the fandom.

Yup - Execution is probably The A/E HetYay episode. And the reference in this piece is to the imagined night they spent together in a cheap Jersey hotel, waiting to make sure Huang was okay. I wrote it once, but was never satisfied with it. Maybe I can get them over the hump (hee) with this one.

Heh. I've written about twelve post-Ex fics. They languish in my "Unfinished" folder. Actually, at this point, they pretty much constitute said folder. That scene is just always more fun in my head than on the screen.
